"As of January 4, 2012, 32,777 Failed State Electrical Certification Examination "

Fact: Overall 68% failed their state certification examination

Fact: 32,777 failed as of January 4, 2012
Fact: 24,868 have yet to take their state examination

Fact: Total of failed and others that have yet taken the state exam is 57,645

Fact: The average number that passed per month last year is 281 for all classifications.

Fact: Based upon the number passing per month and amount remaing to take the state examination, it will take over 16 years to have everyone that has applied to be certified.

Fact: The Division of Apprenticeship Standards has posted that 53,102 have passed their respective state certification examination. Also noted that the total number of state certified in all classification totals 36,113 which means a loss of 16,898 that have lost their certification or left the trade. There only 36,204 certified in all classifications that are eligible to work out of  110,747.

Fact: 75,55 are approved to take the state examination and are not enrolled in an apprenticeship or electrical trainee program are working illegally.
